The Wilberforce University men's basketball team scored 12 of the last 18 points to win back-to-back games for the first time this year with the 71-66 victory over Fisk Saturday in Gaston F. Lewis Arena in HBCUAC action.
Senior Eduardo Diaz hit a pair of free throws with 26 seconds remaining to give the WU a two-possession lead and senior Jesse Olverson, Jr. sealed the win with an emphatic dunk.
Junior Daiquan Coach led a quartet of double-figure scorers with 16 points, four assists and three rebounds. Junior Germainn Marshall pulled down a season-high 10 rebounds to secure the double-double as he finished with 15 points. Olverson continued his efficient ways, scoring 10 points on 5-of-7 shooting and a team-high five blocks, while Diaz finished with 10 points and five steals.
