2024 SEASON

Became the first Head Coach, while starting the first Women's Volleyball Program in 2024.

PRIOR TO WILBERFORCE UNIVERSITY

Coleman served as a Gradute Assistant for both the volleyball and basketball programs at Rust College. That season, the Lady Bearcats women's basketball team captured their fourth Conference Tournament title and earned a spot in the National Tournament.

A 2023 graduate of Rust College, Coleman played a year of volleyball when a new coach was appointed; during her season she earned 2nd Team All-Conference being Rust College first applicant for Women's Volleyball. As well as ran track, medaling in events 4x400 (2nd place) and 4x800 (3rd place) in the Conference Tournament. Coleman also helped lead the Women's Basketball team, the Lady Bearcats to the programs first Conference Championship, as well as the programs first ever National Tournament Appearance in 2020; she also helped lead them to two more Gulf Coast Athletic Conference (GCAC) Championships, as well a National Tournament Appearances. During her career at Rust College she was recognized as two-time All-Defensive team, was on the All-Conference Team, named Defensive Player of the Year, and was on the All-Tournament team. 

Jasmine Coleman (Navajo/African American), a proud native of Ganado, Arizona, who brings a decorated playing career and strong coaching foundation to her roles as a Head Coach. Coleman played volleyball and basketball at Navajo Preparatory School in Farmington, New Mexico. She led the Lady Eagles to district titles in volleyball and basketball; was also a state runner-up for volleyball in 2014. Throughout her high school years in volleyball she was named being First Team All-District (2012-2016), All-District MVP (2013-2015), District Champions (2012-2015), NMAA State Runner-Up (2014), Navajo Times All-Star (2012-2013), Navajo Times Player of the Year (2014), All-State Selection Team (2014-2015), and played on the North vs South All-Star Team (2016). While in basketball she was named First Team All-District (2012-2016), All-District MVP (2014-2015), District Champion (2014-2016), Navajo Times All-Star (2013-2016), All-State Selection (2014-2015), and played on the North vs South All-Star Team (2016).

Coleman earned her bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Rust College in May 2023. She is the second eldest of five children; who were raised by their single parent mom, Ivanna Jones. Her siblings are older sister, Danielle Coleman; little brother, Jamaal Coleman; little sisters, Jamika and Michelene Coleman.
