Howard Third HBCUAC Runner at Nationals
TALLAHASSEE, FL – Wilberforce University freshman Skyaqui Howard completed a very successful rookie season Friday at the 2025 NAIA Cross Country Championships.
Howard was the third of 10 HBCUAC student-athletes to cross the finish line with the time of 29:58 to place 305th overall.
"Sky finished the season on a high note," said Wilberforce University Head Cross Country Coach Dean Freitag. "He gave everything he had against the best runners in the nation and improved on his performance from conference, while setting the standard the WU program to follow in the future."
The freshman harrier was the first WU Cross Country student-athlete to compete for a NAIA Championship.
