Howard Sets 8K Record
Freshman Skyaqui Howard continues to put his imprint on the Wilberforce University cross country program.
CEDARVILLE, Ohio – Freshman Skyaqui Howard continues to put his imprint on the Wilberforce University cross country program.
After competing in three 5K races to begin his collegiate career, Howard and the rest of the Bulldogs stepped up its distance – running the 8K in the All-Ohio Championships.
Howard showed his potential in the distance posting the best 8K time in the HBCUAC this season, finishing in 29:44.4. It establishes a new Wilberforce school record in the process.
Three other runners competed in the All-Ohio, freshman Mario Seats (33:44.5), freshman Brandon Reynolds (35:07.2) and freshman Keylan Holt (39:09.0).
The Bulldogs return to the course October 3, competing at the Ohio Wesleyan Invitational in Delaware, Ohio.
