Sherrer Goes Back-to-Back from HBCUAC
NEW ORLEANS, La. – Kendrick Sherrer goes back-to-back.
For the second consecutive week, the sophomore sprinter was named the HBCUAC Newcomer of the Week.
The transfer claimed the 200-meter dash against NCAA Division II competitors at the Joshua Culbreath Invitational, hosted by Central State University. Sherrer covered the distance in 22.02 and also finished second in the 100-meter dash with the time of 10.84.
Currently, Sherrer's 21.35 at the Oliver Nikoloff Open at the University of Cincinnati is the third fastest time in the HBCUAC this season.
Wilberforce closes its pre-championship schedule Friday and Saturday, traveling to the University of Louisville's Jim Freeman/Clark Wood Invitational.
