HBCUAC Tournament Brackets Announced
NEW ORLEANS, La. - The Wilberforce University basketball team know their route to an HBCUAC Championship as the conference unveiled the brackets today (Sunday, February 22, 2026).
The men's team opens their tournament run 9 p.m. Tuesday as the East Division's fourth seed, playing the West Division's fifth seed Paul Quinn. The Tigers (7-16 overall, 3-8 HBCUAC) come into the tournament after beating Wiley, 72-64, Thursday. The victory snapped a seven-game losing streak for Paul Quinn.
Wilberforce has won four of the last five games entering the tournament.
The women's team begins the tournament 10 a.m. Wednesday as the East Division's fifth seed, playing the West Division's fourth seed, Tougaloo. The Bulldogs (9-13 overall, 7-5 HBCUAC) come into the tournament having lost four of the last five games.
The Bulldogs come into the 2026 HBCUAC Tournament on a four-game winning streak.
